Natural Ways To Strengthen Thinning Hair And Promote Hair Growth

Let's Begin Regrowth.

Whether it's age, stress, or something out of your control — no matter the cause, there are hopeful solutions. Your hair health is all to do with the nutrients and the care you give you glorious locks. A deficiency in a certain vitamin, too much mistreatment to the hair can cause hair thinning. Now, let's get into the good stuff!

Hey Vitamin A

Vitamin is essential to hair health and growth, and full-body health. This vitamin is essential for hair growth because Vitamin A promotes cell growth and the production of sebum on the scalp. Sebum is known to moisturize our scalps and maintain it's health. Great sources of Vitamin A are carrots, spinach, kale, and pumpkin. So eat up doc!

All B-Vitamins

We know this may be a little broad, but that is because B vitamins can be found in many different forms of food. B-Vitamins assist in the creation of red blood cells. These blood cells bring the other nutrients you consume to the scalp and hair follicles. These processes are important for hair growth. B vitamins are found in whole grains, almonds, meat, fish, seafood and leafy greens.

Stress and Hormones

“A change in hormones from childbirth, perimenopause, menopause, or even thyroid imbalance can also impact the density of your hair,” says Dr. Bauman. In particular, higher than normal levels of DHT (a.k.a. Dihydrotestosterone), a male hormone, has been shown to shrink hair follicles, making it harder for them to produce healthy hair.

Stress

Prolonged stress can bring on a spike of cortisol, which can impact hair growth by pushing follicles into a temporary “resting phase.” Or known as Telogen effluvium. This can stunt the amount of hair each follicle grows. So to take a few minutes to meditate can be beneficial to your mind, soul body, and hair!

These are just a few tips (there is so much more we will share) to help hair thinning! We hope you try to nourish and destress your body to lead you to fabulous hair!
